Često postavljena pitanja — Home Insurance
How much does homeowners insurance cost?
The national average is around $1,800-$2,400 per year for $300,000 of dwelling coverage, but costs depend heavily on your state, home age, roof condition and claims history. States prone to hurricanes, wildfires or hail — like Florida, Texas and Oklahoma — often see premiums well above the average.
Does homeowners insurance cover flooding?
No. Standard homeowners policies exclude flood damage from rising water. Flood coverage requires a separate policy through the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) or a private flood insurer. If you live in a FEMA-designated flood zone with a federally backed mortgage, flood insurance is mandatory.
